Bellamy Young
Young first began her acting career in theatre. Her Broadway debut on Broadway in the year 1997 when she played Mary who was the very first actress in the musical The Life. She also performed Off-Broadway, in Stephen Sondheim's Merryly We Rolled Along (1994) in addition to as the role of Randy Newman's Faust (from 1995 until 1996). Her debut was in the television world in 1995 with Dr. Courtney Evans. She appeared in Law & Order as a guest in two parts in 1997, and again in 1998. In 1999 she made her film debut with a small part in the crime drama Black and White and later joined the cast of several independent movies. Early in the 2000s, she began to be an guest on a number of television dramas and comedy shows, such as The Drew Carey Show and The X Files. Between 2000 to 2011 Young played in more than 30 TV programs. Young was an active cast member on the USA Network series Peacemakers in 2003. The show was cancelled after just one season, which was nine episodes. The actress was a regular character in the Lifetime show For the People, a show that focuses on the law. Atty. Agnes Hunt on NBC drama American Dreams in 2003 as Diane Shaw, Dr. Grace Miller on NBC Scrubs in 2004 as Monica West, Assistant State Attorney Monica West in CBS CSI: Miami between 2005 and 2006 and Ellen Darling on ABC soap Dirty Sexy Money in 2008-2009 as the eldest son-in-law in the Darling Family. Between 2011 and 2013, she portrayed Beth Clemmons in Criminal Minds.
