Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek , born September 2, 1966)[3][4][5]), is an American and Mexican actress. Her professional career began in Mexico with starring roles in the Telenovela Teresa (1989-1991) as and the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) in which she won an Ariel Award nomination. From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999) and Desperado (1995) are just some of her numerous Hollywood credits. Hayek's portrayal as painter Frida Kahlo in the biographical film Frida (2002) that she also produced and directed, was the first Mexican actress to be nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress[6] and additionally earned her Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and British Academy Film Award nominations. In the following years, Hayek focused more on producing while starring in the action-centered pictures Once Upon a Time in Mexico
